Russian Caravan Tea

A classic black tea, produced by blending smoked Lapsang Souchong with other black teas to get the traditional full-bodied and lightly smoked tea known as Russian Caravan.  Historically the tea got its name from the time when special caravans transported tea from China to Russia over the desert by camels. During the long journeys the tea absorbed smoke from campfires, resulting in a smooth, medium strong tea with a lightly smoked character.

Preparation: Use 1 tsp. per cup, brew in hot water (98-99 °C) for 2-3 mins. 

Ingredients: Black tea, lightly smoked.
