Chamomile has been used for centuries as a herbal remedy for various conditions, and it is known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antispasmodic, body cleansing and sedative properties. Due to its relaxing, calming and mildly sedative effect it has a long-held reputation for being a great bedtime tea.
To make an infusion, use a generous teaspoon per cup, pour boiling hot water over and let it steep for 3-5 mins. Enjoy it as it is or with a slice of lemon and maybe sweetened with some honey.
